The zonal tundra of the Kola Peninsula – a reality or mistake?

The paper considers selection of plants' composition which can be successfully acclimatized in Murmansk. It contains data on the germinability of coniferous and foliaceous plants from botanic gardens of some countries and different Russian regions. The results of the seedlings' growing observations have been analyzed as well.

Flora of the Murmansk region as a component of biodiversity

Dynamics of the total number and general species of springtails in the Kola forest-tundra on two associations: a swamp and birch forest has been considered. The regularities describing inter years dynamics of communities of springtails have been determined and the reasons of seasonal variability of their number have been analyzed.
